Abstract: |
DB2 has recently introduced new options for BACKUP, RESTORE, ROLLFORWARD and RECOVER. Do you know how to recover a database using only a subset of tablespace backups? Database Rebuild support can reduce disk space required to make data copies for testing or recovering dropped tables, dropped tablespaces or point in time recovery to correct application errors. Are you familiar with TO END OF BACKUP to restore a backup that does not require any other log files? Can you configure DB2 to automatically delete backup images, load copy images, and old log files that are no longer needed? Can you implement new Data Partitioning Feature enhancements to simplify your recovery? Attend this presentation and learn the Routes to Recovery Happiness! |

Abstract: |
Effective collaboration with business partners and customers is a must for every organization to remain competitive and sensitive to customer needs. The ability to anticipate the changing customer needs and accommodate them are key to success. Hence, every industry domain today has a protocol for communication. These protocols are the industry formats that are being widely used.Be it healthcare, banking or financial , every sector has a industry format. Most of these formats are in XML format and are complex and span hundreds of XML documents. This presentation describes how DB2 helps us in building applications easily using these industry formats. DB2 pureXML technology helps the application developers get started with these industry formats using the available industry bundles and services. These bundles demonstrate how easy and efficient it is to use pureXML with these complex industry formats. |
